Zipper Series marks the beginning of my master’s journey at the Royal College of Art, where I started exploring metaphor and abstraction through multiple formats—a wearable latex top, a wall-mounted sculptural canvas and an immersive silicone body.

The zipper symbolises the body caught between borders, with skin trapped and blood shed between its teeth, representing the physical and political violence of closure and containment. The series investigates scale by shifting between body-worn and object forms, highlighting vulnerability and constraint.
